LISBON, June 3
FIBI – Association For Immigrants, By Immigrants, in partnership with the Fundação Aga Khan Portugal, has launched Angalo, a project inspired by Grupos Aprender, Brincar, Crescer (GABC), at the Library of Escola Básica Bairro do Armador in Marvila.
This new initiative is specially designed for immigrant mothers with babies aged 0–36 months. The sessions provide a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment where mothers can connect, share experiences, and support their children’s early development through play and social interaction.
The sessions will take place twice a week and aim to strengthen the bond between mother and child, foster early learning, and create a nurturing space for both.
With a multilingual and culturally diverse approach, the program is free of charge and open to all immigrant mothers residing in Marvila.
