LISBON, August 30
Association FIBI hosted a vibrant Workshop for Immigrant Youth at Jardim Calouste de Gulbenkian, creating an inspiring space for young people to create, connect, and share experiences. The event celebrated creativity, community, and a sense of belonging among immigrant youth in Portugal.
The afternoon began with a lively icebreaker bingo game, encouraging participants to get to know one another and build a warm, welcoming atmosphere. This was followed by a hands-on clay dough activity, where participants expressed their emotions and stories through art, blending creativity with self-discovery.
A key highlight of the workshop was the guided journaling session, inviting participants to reflect on their personal journeys and experiences through writing. This reflective exercise fostered meaningful conversations during an open-circle discussion, where youth shared thoughts on life in Portugal, cultural adaptation, and the importance of friendship and community support. This initiative is part of FIBI’s ongoing commitment to empowering young immigrants through creative, inclusive, and interactive programs. By fostering spaces for dialogue, reflection, and artistic expression, FIBI continues to strengthen community bonds and promote intercultural understanding in Portugal.
