FIBI Showcases Global Flavors and Traditions at ‘É Um Encontro’

AMADORA, September 15
From September 12 to 14, FIBI, in collaboration with CRESCER, participated in the ‘É Um Encontro 2025’ Gastronomic Festival at Amadora Central Park, an event dedicated to celebrating cultural diversity through gastronomy, music, and art.
Over three days, FIBI hosted food stalls representing Nepal, the Philippines, Angola, Bangladesh, and India, offering visitors a taste of traditional dishes that honor the roots and heritage of these communities. Each stall not only delighted the senses but also shared stories, recipes, and culinary traditions, fostering intercultural exchange.Culture and tradition were also at the heart of FIBI’s presence.
On September 14, festival-goers were treated to a performance of Sakela, a traditional ethnic dance from Nepal, as part of the event’s rich dance program.
‘É Um Encontro’ embodies the spirit of intercultural dialogue: gastronomy at the center, culture in every corner, and communities coming together in a celebration of diversity and social inclusion. FIBI’s participation reinforced its commitment to promoting cultural heritage, fostering dialogue, and building bridges between communities.
