Angalo is a vibrant and inclusive playgroup initiative by FIBI - Association For Immigrants, By Immigrants, in partnership with the Fundação Aga Khan Portugal. Inspired by the well-established Grupos Aprender, Brincar, Crescer (GABC) model, Angalo is designed specifically for immigrant mothers with babies and toddlers aged 0 to 36 months. Angalo is multilingual, free of charge, and open to all immigrant mothers living in the Marvila area. Through this initiative, FIBI continues to promote empowerment, belonging, and integration for immigrant communities in Lisbon.
Português Língua de Acolhimento (PLA) A1 + A2
FIBI conducts PLA (Portuguese Language Acquisition) A1 + A2 classes in both face-to-face format and online format.
This program aims to enhance language skills for immigrants, promote integration and equal opportunities for foreigners residing in Portugal.
Portuguese for Beginners
FIBI provides a basic Portuguese language course to immigrants who want to learn the language. The Basic Portuguese Language Program is designed to make learning experience not only educational but also enjoyable.
Through interactive classes, we believe in the power of engaging, dynamic learning, where students actively participate and thrive in a collaborative setting.
Comprehensive Legal Support:
At our association, we are committed to providing comprehensive legal services that cover aspects of immigration journey, from the initial steps of obtaining a NIF (Número de Identificação Fiscal) to applying for Portuguese citizenship.
We collaborate with experienced immigration lawyers who have experience and specialize in addressing the challenges most immigrants face.
Some services we provide are: NIF Registration: We assist immigrants obtain NIF which is necessary for most activities in Portugal. Family Reunification: We assist in applications to bring your family members to Portugal and support during all steps of the reunification process.
Citizenship Application: Professional advice on requirements and procedures to be followed, including preparation and submission of all documents for acquiring Portuguese citizenship and subsequent follow-up.
Legal Representation and Counseling: We provide access to professional lawyers for representation in all immigration issues that might arise, protecting your rights and taking care of your case with the utmost professionalism.
Entrepreneurship and Empowerment
'Women In Action' celebrates strides made by immigrant women setting examples for others to follow. This entrepreneurship and empowerment program highlights strength in women who are leading ways for others within the immigrant community.
It is a dynamic workshop designed to encourage and equip immigrants for the purpose of inspiring them in their entrepreneurial journey.
